Grzegorz Dusza
Mumford & Sons odpowiada za folkową rewolucję, jaka przetoczyła się w ostatnich latach po obu stronach Atlantyku. Już ich pierwszy album "Sigh No More" wywołał sensację. Drugi "Babel" wielokrotnie pokrył się platyną, zdobył Grammy jako płyta roku.

Nie będę oryginalny i zacznę od tego, że Mumford & Sons nagrali płytę, na której dość zdecydowanie odchodzą od folkowych klimatów. Muzycy porzucili typowe dla nich, tradycyjne instrumentarium. Nie ma banjo! - ktoś zawoła, co oznacza po prostu, że "król jest nagi". Zmiany są oczywiście potrzebne w życiu każdej kapeli (chlubnym wyjątkiem AC/DC), ale jeśli...

Mumford & Sons niespodziewanie zdecydowali się na woltę stylistyczną, pozbywając się swojego znaku rozpoznawczego – folkowego instrumentarium. Gorzej, że taki krok uczynił z zespołu kolejną zwykłą grupę rockową, która może i chciałaby zaszaleć, choć nie za bardzo wie jak.
