W sztandarowej piosence "My Generation", The Who śpiewali: "Mam nadzieję, że umrę, nim się zestarzeję". Dwóch członków zespołu, Keith Moon i John Entwistle, już rozstało się z tym światem. Pozostała dwójka, Roger Daltrey i Pete Townshend przypomina o swoim istnieniu albumem "Who".

Wyjątkowe i jedyne w swoim rodzaju powroty zdarzają się nadzwyczaj często. Oczywiście według zapewnień marketingowców, często też samych twórców. Inaczej nie mogło być w przypadku The Who. Niby bez nostalgii, ale jednak z westchnieniem w stronę starych czasów, przez co "Who" jest co najwyżej zwykłym zbiorem zwykłych piosenek.

The Who nagrali prawdopodobnie swój ostatni album i choć muzycznie wciąż są w świetnej formie, brzmią jakby na niczym już im nie zależało.
