Po ostatnich, nieudanych albumach The Prodigy, Fatboy Slima i Moby'ego widać wyraźnie, że muzyka techno zabrnęła w ślepy zaułek. Jednym z niewielu jaśniejszych punktów na tanecznej scenie jest duet The Chemical Brothers, który uniknął artystycznej mielizny stawiając na różnorodność.
