Alarion to projekt holenderskiego gitarzysty Basa Willemsena. Jego początki sięgają 2005 roku, kiedy to w Utrechcie Willemsen stworzył projekt o delikatnie innej nazwie, Alerion. Pod tym szyldem zrealizował w 2007 roku demo zatytułowane  Fledgling, zaś dwa lata później materiał promo Turn of Fate, z którego tytułowa kompozycja znalazła się w 2011 roku...
