Po bardzo udanym debiutanckim albumie "If You Wait" londyńczycy powracają z jeszcze bardziej melancholijną porcją piosenek. Na "Truth Is A Beautiful Thing" nie znajdziemy utworów o zdecydowanym rytmie czy wyrazistszym beacie.

Operowe zaśpiewy, melodie wzniosłe, ale popowe, domieszka elektroniki, raz na jakiś czas zdarzy się jakiś bardziej nośny beat poprockowy - czyli London Grammar w całej swojej okazałości dają nam swój drugi album.

Płycie London Grammar w ciemno mógłbym dać cztery gwiazdki jeszcze przed przesłuchaniem. Potem wysłuchać i ewentualnie coś jeszcze dorzucić. Dlaczego? Hannah Reid – jej głos sam w sobie stanowi tak wielki walor, że nawet z przeciętnej kompozycji uczyni coś nieprzeciętnego. „Truth Is a Beautiful Thing” to album, od którego nie można się uwolnić.

Powiedzmy sobie jedno: na słuchanie London Grammar trzeba mieć dzień. Trzeba mieć nastrój, trzeba mieć odpowiednie nastawienie lub, jak ja to nazywam, określony bagaż emocji – po taką muzykę sięga się raczej w momentach „down”, niż „up”. Wbrew pozorom nie chodzi mi jednak o stadium życiowej beksy: brytyjskie trio wyróżnia się na tle innych zespołów...
