Sama Wanda Jackson namaściła ją na nową królową rockabilly. Imelda May w swoich piosenkach doskonale oddaje ducha lat 50. "Tribal" brzmi klasycznie, a jednocześnie całkiem atrakcyjnie dla młodego słuchacza. Jej stylizowane teledyski, kostiumy i uczesanie nawiązują do tamtej epoki.
