Samozwańczy król mrocznego rocka nie pozwala o sobie zapomnieć. Regularnie występuje w telewizyjnych programach, zaprasza na scenę swoich "mało znanych" kolegów jak Jonny Deep, który wspomaga go na gitarze, a do tego wciąż szokuje swoimi występami i złowieszczym image.

Jeszcze długo przed wydaniem najnowszego albumu Mansona szczęśliwcy, którzy mieli szansę posłuchać pierwszych demówek czy singli przed premierą, w internecie głosili, że będzie to wielki powrót. Ciężko się nie zgodzić.

Mansonowi nie można odmówić inteligencji i każdy kto śledzi jego twórczość od wydania “Portrait Of An American Family” zauważy z jaką konsekwencją budowany był wizerunek gwiazdora. Problemem było jednak to, że niewielu zrozumiało przekaz zawarty w image`u i tekstach zespołu.

Problem z imagem Mansona polega na tym, że nie pozwala on zbytnio się do niego przyzwyczaić. W czasach własnej prosperity Marilyn lawirował od brudnej i szpetnej gwiazdy industrialnego metalu do przesadnie ozdobionej i wypacykowanej quasi glam rockowej, wręcz queerowej primadonny (androgyniczny wizerunek z czasów "Mechanicznych zwierząt"), czy do nocnego...

Przyznam się szczerze bez bicia, że powoli przestałem wierzyć, że Marilyn Manson stworzy jeszcze album, który będę mógł spokojnie położyć na półce obok jego klasycznych dzieł jak „Antichrist Superstar” czy „Mechanical Animals”. Przestałem, ponieważ z każdą kolejną płytą (wszystko po „The Golden Age of Grotesque”) było coraz gorzej. Coraz mniej ciekawych...

Zło wcielone, demon, honorowy członek Kościoła Szatana (co sam Manson uznaje za oznakę szacunku, mimo że nie ma zamiaru ani praktykować, ani pełnić swej funkcji) – o tej barwnej, charyzmatycznej postaci można by mówić wiele… Ponieważ jesteśmy serwisem muzycznym, nie zaś plotkarskim, pominę analizę pracy wizażystów Mansona i przejdę do konkretów.
