Izraelski Orphaned Land obchodzi w tym roku 20 – lecie swojego istnienia. I choć do bardzo płodnych kapel może nie należy (artyści mają na swoim koncie dopiero cztery pełnowymiarowe albumy), zaliczam go do grupy najbardziej oryginalnych współczesnych zespołów parających się ciężkim, metalowym graniem. Już sam fakt zaszufladkowania muzyki granej przez...

Orphaned Land to doskonała nazwa dla zespołu pochodzącego z kraju, w którym jedyną bezpieczną granicą jest granica z morzem. Muzyka powstała na takim gruncie, gdzie następuje zderzenie dwu wielkich religii, musi nieść ze sobą dużą dawkę emocji. A inspiracje Orphaned Land tak muzyczne, jak i liryczne wypływają bezpośrednio z kulturowego kontekstu.

Orphaned Land to izraelska grupa, która funkcjonowanie na rynku muzycznym rozpoczęła od grania death metalu. Ich korzenie słyszalne są oczywiście do dnia dzisiejszego, doszło natomiast do tego, iż owe korzenie niezmiernie się rozrosły sięgając i czerpiąc swe inspiracje muzyczne z różnorakich warstw muzycznej gleby. Przyniosło to rezultat w postaci wielobarwnego...
