W końcu lat 80. Mike Oldfield prawiał wrażenie, że chciałby być co najmniej tak płodny artystycznie, jak kilka lat wcześniej Jon Anderson: w ciągu 14 miesięcy otrzymaliśmy trzy zupełnie różne premierowe płyty sygnowane przez Mike’a.
