Siódmy już album Wovenhand otwiera nowy rozdział w historii zespołu, choć jego starzy fani nie powinni poczuć się zawiedzeni. To, co pozostało niezmienne, to inspiracje Starym i Nowym Testamentem, co widać wyraźnie w lirykach na "The Laughing Stalk".

David Eugene Edwards to jedna z bardziej nietuzinkowych postaci amerykańskiej sceny muzycznej. David śpiewa o Bogu, ale nikt nie robi tego w taki sposób jak on.
