Do Niemców z Ahab przekonałam się przy okazji ich debiutanckiego albumu „The Call of the Wretched Sea”, który zrobił na mnie ogromne wrażenie. Wtedy to ich funeral doom metal skradł moje serce. Od tamtej pory płyty zespołu często lądują w moim odtwarzaczu. Nie inaczej było z „The Divinity of Oceans”, na który przyszło nam czekać 3 lata (w takich odstępach...

Swego czasu, imponujący debiut Ahab ogłuszył mnie znienacka niczym trzaśnięcie płetwą Moby Dicka. Niesamowicie świeży, potężny i jakże morski to był materiał. Pościg za białym kaszalotem zaprowadził Niemców w takie głębiny, w jakie nikt się wcześniej nie zapuszczał. Słowem, absolutna czołówka 2006 roku, nie tylko w kategorii doom.
