Amerykanka Stacey Kent była dobrze zapowiadającą się tenisistką, ale choroba pokrzyżowała jej sportowe plany. Na studiach muzycznych w Londynie poznała jazzowego saksofonistę Jima Tomlinsona (późniejszego męża) i dzięki niemu zaczęła śpiewać. Do dziś podbija serca słuchaczy swym ujmująco ciepłym głosem i melancholijnymi interpretacjami ballad.

Album „The Changing Lights” można nazwać albumem przełomowym w wokalnej karierze Stacey Kent. Jest on spotkaniem z brazylijską kulturą i muzyką. To trochę intymna podróż, która rzuca nowe światło na artystyczny wizerunek Kent. Jej przepiękny głos mieliśmy już okazję poznać i podziwiać słuchając poprzednich płyt. Na najnowszej dostajemy natomiast coś...
