Swoją obecność na rynku muzycznym nieśmiało zaczął zaznaczać już w 2015 roku. Tak naprawdę, Barns Courtney pojawił się znienacka wraz z singlem Fire, który wdarł się niespodziewanie do świadomości masowego odbiorcy. Potem poszło szybko. Artysta wydawał kolejne piosenki, co w konsekwencji zaowocowało debiutem fonograficznym zatytułowanym The Attractions...
