Napisać, że grupa szalonych Norwegów dokonała stylistycznej rewolucji, to jak napisać, że po nocy nastanie dzień. Ulver robi muzykę na jaką akurat ma ochotę, nie ma mowy nawet o próbach jakiegokolwiek szufladkowania, bo na przestrzeni lat eksplorowali zarówno black metal, jak i wszelką awangardę, ambientowe przestrzenie i elektroniczne klimaty.
