Behemoth doszedł do takiego punktu swojej kariery, że trudno oczekiwać od niego drastycznych skoków jakościowych. Płyty Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond) i Demigod pokazały zespół u szczytu swoich możliwości technicznych. Zabójcze tempa, masakrujące bębny i opętańcze solówki gitarowe stały się znakiem rozpoznawczym grupy. Pozostało zatem udoskonalanie...

Taaa, wiem. Przy tej płycie wysypali się u nas "znawcy Behemotha", dla których "The Apostasy" jest punktem odniesienia, nie do ruszenia. Z racji tego, iż w porównaniu do poprzednich wydawnictw gdańszczan płyta ta niesie ze sobą szerszy sound i więcej przestrzeni ludzie, którym Pomorska Bestia była nie w smak, też zaczęli mruczeć jakieś pochwały ku uciesze...

No i stało się... Behemoth po raz pierwszy w swojej karierze stanął w miejscu, nie dokonał jakościowego skoku, co więcej rozpoczął powolny proces pożerania własnego ogona. Wielu zapewne oburzy się na to stwierdzenie: "A chóry? A dęciaki? Tego jeszcze nie było!" zakrzykną w (nie)świętym oburzeniu. I będą mieli rację. Niestety tylko częściowo... Na płycie...

Behemoth to jeden z tych zespołów, które lubią wyzwania. Przy okazji premiery każdego bez wyjątku krążka, Nergal podkreśla, że jest albumem niezwykle podekscytowany, że w życiu nie nagrał tak mocnej płyty, że to będzie coś wielkiego. Siłą rzeczy co kilka lat, gdy rusza kampania promocyjna, słuchacz zastanawia się, czy dobra passa Nergala i spółki skończy...
