Niegdysiejszy członek Helloween, współautor takich albumów jak „Walls of Jericho” czy „Keeper of the Seven Keys”, lider Gamma Ray, Kai Hansen to już niemal ikona gatunku. W celu uczczenia swojego XXX-o lecia na scenie muzyk postanowił podziałać solo a drugim efektem tej decyzji jest album „Thank You Wacken Live”.
