Muzyka Marissy Nadler to przykład twórczego wykorzystania tradycyjnie folkowej stylistyki. Delikatne brzmienie akustyka idzie tu w parze z różnorakimi ubogaceniami, wśród których najistotniejszym jest senny, dochodzący nas jakby zza zasłony głos Amerykanki.
