Gdyby ustanowiono nowe państwowe święto* - Dzień Płyt Wyklętych – poświęcony krążkom, które swego czasu doczekały się powszechnego potępienia zupełnie niezałużonego z perspektywy czasu powodu to „Slaves and Masters” byłby chyba pierwszym jaki przyszłaby mi na myśl. No bo jak hardrockowy wymiatacz mógł nagrać coś takiego. I kogoś takiego jak Gillan zastąpić...

Warto posłuchać Slaves And Masters, aby przekonać się, czy jest to rzeczywiście tak zła płyta, za jaką się ją powszechnie uważa. Trzy gwiazdki nie są tylko wyrazem mojej przekory – naprawdę bardzo lubię ten album.

Piotr "PITOPIETHO" Bargieł
Płyta nagrana 3 lata po bardzo dobrym The House Of Blue Light i 6 lat po genialnej Perfect Strangers. Jak wiemy, album został nagrany bez udziału Iana Gillana. Za mikrofonem stanął znany z Rainbow Joe Lynn Tuner. Fani obawiali się, że będzie to zbyt tęczowa płyta (bo przecież Ritchie Blackmore, gitarzysta Deep Purple, to lider Rainbow). No i rzeczywiście...
