The Stokes to jeden z najbardziej kontrowersyjnych zespołów ostatnich lat. Nie z powodu image'u grupy, zachowania członków, czy też różnych skandali. Pod tymi względami jest wręcz przeciwnie - muzycy są niezwykle spokojni i niepozorni, podobnie jak ich piosenki. Kontrowersja tkwi w ocenie krytyków: jedni wychwalają nowojorczyków pod niebiosa, inni nazywają...
