Po "Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band", "Białym Albumie", "Abbey Road" i "Let It Be" ukazała się reedycja wcześniejszego – szczególnie cenionego przez fanów albumu The Beatles – "Revolver". Dlaczego dopiero teraz, wyjaśnia to Giles – syn nadwornego producenta zespołu, George’a Martina, odpowiedzialny za rekonstrukcję nagrań Czwórki z Liverpoolu.

Jeśli nagrywając Rubber Soul Beatlesi drapali się po głowach, nieśmiało szukając nowych środków wyrazu, w czasie Revolvera ograniczeniem stała się już tylko wyobraźnia. Wprawdzie rozpoczynający album Taxman (który Harrison napisał, kiedy zdał sobie sprawę, ile kasy traci na podatki), to po prostu świetny, oparty na motorycznej figurze basowej utwór...
