Dziennikarze spierają się o to, czy "Reflektor" to rozczarowanie, czy może po prostu dobry, niezwykle bogaty brzmieniowo, a miejscami nawet delikatnie dyskotekowy album z charakterystycznym klimatem i jak zawsze doskonałą narracją udzielających sie wokalistów.

Redakcja All About Music
Nigdy nie byłem fanem Arcade Fire. Koleżanka podrzuciła mi kiedyś któryś z ich albumów i niespecjalnie mi się spodobał, ot kolejny indie-rockowy bandzik. Reflektor, to moje drugie podejście do zespołu i nie wiem czy to oni się zmienili, czy ja, ale jest nieźle, a nawet dobrze.

Podobno Arcade Fire był w swoim czasie ulubioną grupą polskich hipsterów. Nie wiem, ile prawdy jest w tym stwierdzeniu, ale wiem jedno - to właściwie od początku istnienia był zespół wpływowy. W stylistyce, w której poruszają się Kanadyjczycy, to oni wyznaczają standardy. Arcade Fire to obecnie najważniejszy zespół w rocku alternatywnym - co do tego...

Mój nos cierpi, bo od kilku dni kręcę nim nieustannie w trakcie słuchania płyty "Reflektor" Arcade Fire. To miało być dzieło wybitne, a jest "jedynie" dobre.

Otwarcie płyty w żaden sposób nie zapowiada dramatu, który ma się tu rozegrać. Jak czołówka filmu wyświetlanego w multipleksach, gdzie liczą się przede wszystkim efekty specjalne; trochę zbyt dosłownie zrozumiana myśl Hitchcocka o trzęsieniu ziemi, ale w gruncie rzeczy wszystko pod kontrolą – widz zdaje sobie sprawę, że przyszedł właśnie na ten seans...
