Obscura to bez wątpienia jedno z objawień technicznego death metalu. Wystarczyły dwie płyty, by zespół stał się znaczącą marką w tej stylistyce. W gruncie rzeczy chyba nie mogło być inaczej, bowiem kosmiczne wręcz umiejętności muzyków niejako naturalnie predestynują ich do takiego, a nie innego grania.
