Octagon" powstał zaledwie w pół roku po "Requiem", a jednak mimo wielu nawiązań, jest płytą inną, ciekawszą i bardziej rozbudowaną. Bathory spuścił nieco z tonu, ale na pewno nie stworzył produkcji słabej i pozbawionej specyficznego jadu. Quorthon w tekstach skupił się głównie na problemach społecznych (wojna, przemoc i nietolerancja) chociaż aluzje...
