Brian Wilson przy okazji swojego najnowszego albumu nie miał ambicji nagrać drugiego "SMiLE". Z jednej strony to dobrze, bo na "No Pier Pressure" nie trzeba było czekać czterdzieści lat. Z drugiej, aż trudno uwierzyć, że autorem płyty jest ten sam perfekcjonista, który kilka dekad temu stworzenie dzieła życia przepłacił chorobą psychiczną.
