Black Sabbath bez Ozzy'ego Osbourne'a to temat rzeka. Można by się godzinami wykłócać, które płyty spośród tych zrealizowanych bez jego udziału zasługują na miano klasycznych, a które nie. Pierwsza z Ronnie'm Jamesem Dio za mikrofonem, czyli "Heaven And Hell" jest jednogłośnie uważana za arcydzieło. Czy tak samo należy traktować jej następczynię?

W przypadku „Sabbath z Dio” za najbardziej klasyczny uznaje się album pierwszy, czyli Heaven And Hell. A jednak Mob Rules nie ustępuje mu pod żadnym względem. „Klasyczności” odbiera tej płycie przede wszystkim nieobecność Billa Warda. Ale Vinny Appice, chociaż mniej finezyjny, jest technicznie bardziej sprawny od niego i przenosi Sabbath w nowy wymiar...

Po opuszczeniu zespołu przez Ozzy'ego (czytaj: wyrzuceniu go), wokalistą Sabbs został był Ronnie James Dio z Rainbow. W 1980 nagrali niezły album "Heaven And Hell" (piszę niezły, bo go niestety nie słyszałem), podczas Heaven And Hell World Tour zespół opuścił bębniarz Bill Ward (problemy rodzinne). Jego miejsce zajął Vinnie Appice.
