Mówi się często, że Lovedrive to przełom w karierze Scorpions. Jeśli weźmiemy pod uwagę zmiany personalne, które wówczas nastąpiły, to rzeczywiście ta płyta otwiera nowy rozdział w historii zespołu. Myślę jednak, że pod względem muzycznym przełomu nie było. Owszem, styl zespołu dryfował wtedy w kierunku większej melodyjności i przebojowości, ale proces...

Po słabym "Taken by Force", nie bacząc na falę krytyki, niemiecka formacja w 1979 roku wydaje swój szósty długogrający album "Lovedrive". W zespole dochodzi do przetasowania. W miejsce Ulricha Rotha zatrudniony zostaje mało znany dotąd Matthias Jabs. Z kolei do łask zespołu powraca Michael Schenker, z którym wcześniej nagrano debiutancką płytę. Płyta...

Elwood
Wielu fanów, a także sam Rudolf Schenker, uważa ten album za najlepszy w historii Scorpions. Ja sam nie mam wątpliwości, że jest to płyta znakomita, czy jednak najlepsza, cóż sprawa jest dyskusyjna...
