Już okładka Killers dobrze charakteryzuje tę płytę: Eddie właśnie zdzielił kogoś siekierą i zupełnie nie przypomina mizeraka z Iron Maiden. Identycznie jest z muzyką: zawartość drugiego albumu to heavymetalowy cios, który musiał budzić respekt konkurencji. Duży wpływ na taki stan rzeczy miało pozyskanie do współpracy Martina Bircha, producenta legendarnych...

Drugiej płycie Iron Maiden nadano kiczowate miano Killers. Tytuł ten jednak trafnie oddaje zawartość tego co prawda dalekiego od doskonałości, lecz porywającego swą heavymetalową werwą i punkrockową zadziornością, ciętego niczym brzytwa zabójcy wydawnictwa, na którym większość numerów to istotnie killers.
