Nie bez powodu brytyjska formacja Nitzer Ebb uważana jest za jednych z prekursorów techno. Już w latach 80. nagrywali albumy dorównujące produkcjom Depeche Mode, na których dekadę później wzorowała się grupa Prodigy.
