Gdy najbardziej interesującym utworem na całej płycie jest jej intro, wiedz, że coś się dzieje nie tak. Melodyjny metalcore nigdy nie był bastionem dla innowacyjnych brzmień czy tekstów, ale od momentu, gdy stał się prawie tak popularny jak dekadę wcześniej nu-metal, w gatunku zaczęło się robić szczególnie nudno.

Bez owijania w bawełnę – nigdy nie należałem do grona fanów Trivium. Co więcej – ich muzyka w żaden sposób nie potrafiła mnie zainteresować. Nie czekałem na nowy album i nie odliczałem godzin do jego premiery. Gdy dowiedziałem się, że stoi przede mną wyzwanie w postaci zrecenzowania najnowszego dzieła panów z Florydy, zatytułowanego “In Waves” – z przerażeniem...

Grzegorz ''Chain'' Pindor
Bezapelacyjnie droga, jaką przeszedł ten zespół od metalcore'owej nadziei, przez klasycznie metalowy zespół, następnie progresywne aspekty "Shogun", a teraz metal z prawdziwego zdarzenia na "In Waves" jest fascynująca.

Oto album, który podniesie tumany kurzu pod wojowniczymi stopami wszystkich fanów muzyki metalowej. Zgromadzi gigabajty burzowych chmur nad każdym pojedynczym forum internetowym. Stanie się gwoździem do trumny kilku recenzentów, podczas gdy dla całej reszty stanowić będzie dręczący niczym dziura w zębie problem, orzech, który rozgryzą tylko najmocniejsi...
