Najnowszy, trzynasty już studyjny album w dyskografii Niemców z Sodom, którzy zaczęli swoją karierę w 1982 roku, rozpoczyna prawdziwy killer. Utwór tytułowy, czyli "In War and Pieces" brzmi początkowo niczym Bolt Thrower, a Tom Angelripper wydziera się jak opętany niczym Tom Araya w swoich najlepszych latach. Gdyby Slayer kiedykolwiek szukali zastępstwa...

Czy to się komuś podoba, czy nie - z pewnymi oczywistymi muzycznymi faktami po prostu się nie dyskutuje. Tom Angelripper i jego Sodom to kapela bez dwóch zdań kultowa.
