Opiniotwórczy w latach 70. „Melody Maker” zatytułował recenzję In Through The Out Door zjadliwie, ale trafnie: Whole Lotta Bluff. Niestety, ta płyta to smutne świadectwo zagubienia zespołu, który w czasach, gdy modne było disco i punk, przestał grać po swojemu, proponując kontrowersyjne eksperymenty.

In Through The Out Door? O zgrozo, co to za płyta! Jeśliby w 1979 roku ktoś przeczytał recenzję najnowszego albumu Led Zeppelin i dowiedział się z niej, iż to dzieło beznadziejne, to zapewne natychmiast żywiołowo zaprzeczyłby w duchu i uznał, że musi to być gruba przesada. Po wysłuchaniu jednak jej zawartości zapewne sam szybko podpisałby się pod tą...

Wickerman
Płyta Led Zeppelin. Czy trzeba dodać coś więcej? Na pewno nie najlepsza, ale jednak. Najlepszy Zespół Świata wielokrotnie wystawiał nasze umysły na muzyczne próby. Dziwna płyta. Na prożno szukać tu dwóch takich samych kawałków. Właściwie jest to album Jonesa. To on, razem z Robertem, skomponował najwięcej muzyki na ten album.
