Kariera grupy Joy Division trwała trzy lata - legenda żyje już ponad trzydzieści. Kolejne pokolenia fanów rosną w siłę słuchając jej muzyki. Przeglądając ostatnio gazetę, przeczytałem wśród "ogłoszeń drobnych" o kobiecie, która desperacko szuka męża: jedyny wymóg, to bycie kopią Iana Curtisa. Pod względem warunków głosowych taką właśnie kalką można...

Zjawisko pod nazwą "Editors" - jak większość zjawisk, którym na siłę przykleja się nic nie znaczącą etykietkę "indie" - z początku w ogóle nie wzbudziło mojego zainteresowania. Dopiero gdy przy trzeciej płycie wziął się za nich jeden z najbardziej przeze mnie cenionych producentów, Mark "Flood" Ellis, wydali mi się godni uwagi.

Proszę Was, kupcie ten album, a gdy będziecie odpowiednio wyciszeni po ciężkim dniu pracy, włóżcie magiczny krążek do odtwarzacza i pozwólcie się oczarować. Editors odtwarzają melancholię znaną tylko z albumów Joy Division i nawet, jeśli konsekwentnie zaprzeczają temu, by kiedykolwiek byli pod wpływem tego kultowego zespołu, to prędzej jestem skłonny...
