Latem 1983 roku fani Supertrampa otrzymali zaskakującą wiadomość - Roger Hodgson odszedł z zespołu. Zaskakującą, mimo że tytuł ostatniego wtedy albumu Supertrampa mógł sugerować, że są to "ostatnie słowa" zespołu. Jednak mimo odejścia Hodgsona, Supertramp nagrywał dalej pod kierownictwem Davisa, choć każdy zdawał sobie sprawę, że zespół nigdy nie odzyska...
