Uwielbiam bluesowe albumy Erica Claptona, a takim jest najnowszy "I Still Do" ("Jeszcze to robię"). I słynny "Slowhand" rzeczywiście robi to dobrze, bo jak mało który Europejczyk "czuje bluesa".

Eric Clapton swoją pierwszą płytę wydał ponad pół wieku temu. Tak naprawdę jednak jego kariera zaczęła się, gdy w 1971 nagrał inspirowaną irańskim poematem „Laylę” i uczynił z niej światowy przebój. Płyty Claptona z lat 70. „461 Ocean Boulevard”, „Backless”, „No Reason to Cry” czy popularna „Slowhand” – zgrabnie łączyły pop, blues i country, a czasem...

Eric Clapton, mimo że nie tak dawno przekroczył już siedemdziesiątkę, wciąż pozostaje bardzo płodnym człowiekiem - przynajmniej, jeśli chodzi o tempo wydawania kolejnych płyt. W przemyśle muzycznym jest wiele gwiazd, które dawno zapracowały sobie na renomę i wątpię, żeby kolejne albumy w ich karierze mogły pogorszyć ich opinię.
