Zespół James pochodzi z Manchesteru i działa na brytyjskiej scenie od 1981 (wliczając w to kilkuletnią przerwę). W tym czasie nagrał kilkanaście długogrających płyt i próbował rożnych stylistyk. Najnowszy album, zatytułowany "Girl At The End Of The World", można uznać za muzyczną podróż po brytyjskiej scenie ostatnich dziesięcioleci. Najprościej nazwać...

Smutne, kiedy zespół z fajnym dorobkiem i - kiedyś - fantastycznym zmysłem do pisania niegłupich, bardzo nośnych przebojów, mimo wyraźnego spadku formy, upiera się i brnie. To niestety casus formacji z Manchesteru.
