Sorrow And Extinction wywołał więcej zamieszania, niż to się mogło przyśnić. W pewnym sensie był to klasyczny doom: o śmierci, smutku, przemijaniu, a jednak tak wyróżniający się naturalnym wyczuciem, tak niezwykle trafny w doborze i dawkowaniu depresyjnych środków, że swoją posępną melodyjnością i nawiązaniami do filozoficznego pesymizmu zyskał wielbicieli...
