Pierwsze wydawnictwo firmowane przez 24-letniego wówczas Vaia własnym nazwiskiem ma dziś podwójną wartość. Po pierwsze, słychać na niej formowanie się unikalnej artystycznej osobowości gitarzysty, który znajdował się wciąż na etapie dochodzenia do "swoich" dźwięków. Słychać jeszcze w tej muzyce duży wpływ Franka Zappy, ówczesnego "pracodawcy" Vaia,...

Moim pierwszym kontaktem z muzyką pan Steve'a Vai'a było usłyszenie jego utworu "Juice". Wtedy uderzył mnie czad, melodia i to całe efekciarstwo. Polubiłem faceta, gdyż fajnie młóci na gitarze. Później usłyszałem G3 "Live In Concert". Po raz kolejny dostrzegłem, że Vai jest naprawdę niezły. Ta cała popisówa w "For The Love Of God" jest godna podziwu....
