Premierę wydanego równe osiem lat temu "The War Within" pamiętam do dziś, zresztą jak i cały tamten rok, który zdominował tradycyjny metalcore, mocno romansujący z thrash metalem. Shadows Fall od samego początku bliższe było właśnie tej stylistyce.
