W 2002 roku Szwedzi z Dream Evil wypuścili swojego pierwszego długograja zatytułowanego „DragonSlayer”. Muzyka na niej zawarta to wypadkowa heavy i power metalu. Sama okładka robi pozytywne wrażenie. Muzycznie jest dość ciekawie.

Zespół Dream Evil powstał jesienią 1999 roku. Założył go właściciel Studio Fredman (HammerFall, In Flames, Spiritual Beggars) Fredrik Nordstrom wespół z greckim gitarzystą Gusem G. Do współpracy zaprosili Niklasa Istfelda, który zainteresował Fredrika swoimi możliwościami wokalnymi podczas sesji nagraniowej HammerFall, na której śpiewał partie drugoplanowe....
