Niegdyś przedstawiciele tzw. klimatów, dziś prog rockowcy od czasu do czasu zerkający na swój metalowy dorobek na koncertach, poszerzają swoją dyskografię o kolejne dzieło. "Distant Satellites" jest następnym równym, ale niewiele wnoszącym do ogółu albumem Liverpoolczyków i prawdopodobnie jednym z wielu równych, ale nie genialnych, jakie jeszcze ten...

Dziesiąta studyjna płyta Anathemy... Napiszę tak: wraz z upływem czasu coraz bardziej doceniam artystyczną ścieżkę jaką wybrali Daniel i Vincent Cavanagh. Początkowo byłem wręcz zły na Brytyjczyków. Czekałem na kolejne płyty w klimacie niezapomnianej „The Silent Enigma“, a ci postanowili diametralnie zmienić kierunek... Wtedy, czyli parę ładnych lat...

Jeszcze niedawno przy okazji "Universal" pisałem, że Anathema to zespół który właściwie od kilkunastu lat utrzymuje bardzo wysoki poziom, a nawet rozkręcają się z płyty na płytę, proponując coraz to lepszy materiał. Dwa lata minęły od wydania przez Anglików "Weather Systems". W tym czasie zdołali objechać świat koncertując, nagrać live album ("Untouchable") i zarejestrować DVD ("Universal"). I skomponować nowy materiał, któremu z czasem nadano tytuł "Distant Satellites".
