Debiut MGMT "Oracular Spectacular" został okrzyknięty (także przez "Audio") jedną z najlepszych płyt 2008 r. Zwiewność popowych melodii w połączeniu z rockową dynamiką i syntezatorową oprawą dały rewelacyjny efekt.

BD: Ok, więc to jest ich "ambitne", anty-przebojowe dzieło, którym chcą udowodnić, że są kimś więcej, niż tymi kolesiami od "Kids". LOL. Debiut z początku nieco niedoważyłem, ale sofomor pokazuje, że nie ma to żadnego znaczenia. Otóż właśnie element disco był w nich najlepszy. Bez niego zostaje jakiś rozmyty, niby malarski i "odważnie" unfocused, lecz...
