In The Woods… to kapela, która należała do pierwszego rzutu norweskiego black metalu z początku lat 90. XX wieku. I nawet w ramach tego awangardowego ruchu była bardzo oryginalna. To najprawdopodobniej In The Woods… zostało określone pierwszym pagan metalowym zespołem na świecie.
