Skąd – dokąd? Dlaczego – po co? Pytania i… pytania, wszystko to zwiewne i nie potrzebujące odpowiedzi. Wtłoczone w oczekiwania jakich pełno w otaczającym nas świecie.  Zatem? Co sprawia, że ocena widniejąca przy tym albumie jest tak wysoka? Skoro tak oczywiste są wszystkie sprokurowane na użytek Carrie & Lowell dźwięki? A po co nam takie odpowiedzi?...

Moja mama umarła, kiedy miałem 26 lat. Bardzo lubiła Sufjana - słuchaliśmy razem Michigan, jeżdżąc z Poznania do Warszawy jeszcze w czasach, gdy tę trasę pokonywało się w pięć godzin (jeśli nie było korków na światłach w Sochaczewie). Pamiętam, że któregoś razu, kiedy leciało ”Redford”, spytałem ją w końcu, czy dostanę gitarę elektryczną, jak zdam maturę....
