Zapewne niejeden fan w latach 70. zastanawiał się, jak Sabbath brzmiałby, gdyby śpiewał w nim Robert Plant. Albo jak Ozzy poradziłby sobie w Deep Purple. Born Again to wyjątkowa możliwość sprawdzenia, jak wypada jedna z takich egzotycznych konfiguracji: Iommi, Butler i Ward grają tu z Ianem Gillanem. Może to obecna wiedza, że ten skład nie przetrwał...

Wraz z odejściem Ozzy'ego Osbourne'a skończył się magiczny i kultowy okres działalności Black Sabbath, co do tego nie ma żadnych wątpliwości. Ale na pewno nie był to koniec rozwoju zespołu i jego muzyki, ba - przynajmniej do pewnego momentu to była druga młodość, nowe życie ("Born Again"?).
