Im dłużej trwa przerwa w pracy zawodowej, tym trudniej do niej wrócić. W przypadku Neneh Cherry rozłąka z fanami trwała aż 18 lat. Dla gwiazd muzyki to okres niezwykle długi. Niektórzy mogli już całkowicie o niej zapomnieć, dlatego wydanie albumu po tylu latach to zadanie trudne i ambitne.

Pierwszy od 18 lat solowy album Neneh Cherry miał prawo być sentymentalny. Albo syntetyczny. Lub po prostu bezpieczny. Ale "Blank Project" taki nie jest! Jest jazgotliwy, surowy i zadziorny. Zgodnie z tytułem pokazuje kolejne artystyczne oblicze Szwedki.
