I don't wanna live forever" śpiewał Lemmy, nagrywając "Ace of Spades", zapewne nawet nie przypuszczając, że tytułowa kompozycja z obchodzącego właśnie 40-lecie czwartego albumu Motorhead stanie się najsłynniejszym utworem zespołu i jednym z najwspanialszych dokonań w historii rocka w ogóle.

Gdy wydawało się, że po Bomber mocniej przywalić się nie da, Lemmy (pewnie z szyderczym uśmieszkiem, po golnięciu whisky prosto z flaszki) sięgnął po swego Rickenbackera i z pomocą Clarke’a i Taylora wyciął Ace Of Spades – kultową kompozycję z albumu o tymże tytule. Cała płyta też stała się kultowa, a wcześniej także hitowa – uplasowała się na czwartej...
