To pożegnanie się z Sydem Barrettem (a co za tym idzie - z jego bajkową, psychodeliczną muzyką, jaka wypełniła The Piper At The Gates Of The Dawn) i powitanie Davida Gilmoura w zespole. Przez krótki okres czasu formacja występowała w składzie pięciosobowym, ale prawdopodobnie nie zachowały się żadne nagrania z...

Odszedł Barrett i... wiele się w muzyce Pink Floyd nie zmieniło. Zwłaszcza, że znalazła się tu jeszcze jedna piosenka wyrzuconego z zespołu muzyka, umieszczona jakby na deser na samym końcu płyty, co rusz zmieniająca tempo, miejscami jarmarczna Jugband Blues. Ale są też zbliżone do jego piosenkowo-psychodelicznych klimatów dwie melancholijne kompozycje...

Na tej płycie jeszcze tylko w trzech utworach pojawia się pierwszy lider grupy Syd Barrett. Choćby dlatego musi to być inny album niż debiut Floydów "The Piper At The Gate Of Dawn". Różnica w śpiewie jest wyraźna - Waters jest po prostu wokalistą zupełnie innego rodzaju.
