Na przełomie 2015 i 2016 r. Sting przemierzał z gitarą na plecach skrzyżowanie alei 57th i 9th na Manhattanie, by w pobliskim studiu Hell`s Kitchen pracować nad nowymi piosenkami. Samo nagranie zajęło mu dziesięć tygodni ostatniego, gorącego lata w studiach Avatar i Sear Sound.

Z pewnością wielu fanów Stinga ucieszyło się na wiadomość, że artysta postanowił powrócić do rockowego instrumentarium. Tonuję jednak nastroje entuzjastów. Po pierwsze, na "57th & 9th" wcale nie znajdziemy zbyt wiele gitarowej mocy - jeśli już to Sting serwuje nam radiowy pop rock, jak najbardziej strawny, mieszczący się w przegródce z muzyką przyjemną,...

Kolejna muzyczna ikona niedawno zaskoczyła swoich fanów. Sting spontanicznie postanowił nagrać nowy, pop-rockowy krążek, który będzie już dwunastym długogrającym albumem studyjnym w jego karierze. Przyjrzyjmy się więc bliżej wydawnictwu zawdzięczającemu swój tytuł dwóm ulicom na Manhattanie.

Gordon Sumner długo kazał czekać swoim fanom na płytę rockową. Gordon Sumner dowiózł w końcu nowy album. Z tytułem wziętym od nowojorskiego skrzyżowania gdzie mieściło się studio i (nawet) rock'n'rollem na trackliście. Wcale nie jest tak źle, jak chciałyby złe języki.
