Nastrój skandynawskich mitów, dreszcz strachu przed gniewem wszechmocnych bogów, chłód północy i kilka chwil oddechu, nostalgii oraz uspokojenia – te wszystkie uczucia zawierają się w albumie Deggial.

Nowa płyta Theriona rozczarowuje. Po tym wstępie rzucacie pewnie okiem na ocenę i dziwicie się. "Deggial" jest rozczarowaniem dla kogoś, kto zna twórczość Chrisa, kto pamięta czasy, gdy Therion grał death-metal i zaczynał eksperymenty ze szkolonymi głosami. A dlaczego aż 7? Bo dla kogoś, kto Theriona nie zna albo zna jedynie z "Vovin" - "Deggial" jest...

Po wydaniu "Vovin" byłem pewien, że Therion się skończył. Wbrew powszechnym opiniom uważam, że to jedna z najsłabszych płyt Christofera. Właśnie, Krzysia, bo to już nie był Therion tylko randka Krzysia z klasyką. Metalu tu jak na lekarstwo, zaś twórcą klasycznym Johnson jest raczej miernym. Ogólna nuda i mizerna gra muzyków (tych od czadu, bo orkiestra...

Do diabła
Po słuchania poprzedniej płyty Therion ("Vovin") przez pewien czas, zaczęło krążyć mi po głowie niepokojące pytanie - Czy Therion nie będzie dalej łagodzić swojego brzmienia i czy pozostanie metalowym zespołem? Wczoraj, gdy w moje ręce trafił "Deggial" moje wątpliwości zostały rozwiane.
